On February 3, 2025, NAPCO announced its fiscal 2025 second quarter results, which revealed a decrease in net sales and diluted earnings per share compared to the same period in the prior year.  NAPCO's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer attributed the equipment revenue shortfall to lagging sales in intrusion and access alarm products and door locking devices.  NAPCO also cited specific issues with two of its larger distributors, as one reduced purchases to cut inventory levels and another underwent a management restructuring that delayed transaction approvals. 

On this news, NAPCO's stock price fell $9.77 per share, or 26.6%, to close at $26.93 per share on February 3, 2025.
