Korean Air plans to buy 103 aircraft from Boeing in a deal worth about $36.2 billion based on 2025 list prices, according to a regulatory filing Thursday. The order, first announced in August, includes 20 Boeing 777-9, 25 Boeing 787-10, 50 Boeing 737-10 and eight Boeing 777-8 freighter aircraft. "Based on manufacturer Boeing's 2025 list prices, the total investment for the confirmed purchase of 103 new aircraft amounts to approximately $36.1643 billion, though the figure may fluctuate due to exchange rate movements and other unavoidable factors," the filing says. The agreement was first signed in Washington in August in a meeting of Korean and US businesses overseen by US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick. At the time the deal, which also includes spare engines from GE Aerospace, was valued at approximately $50 billion, according to the company.
