Orthobiologics Research Initiative Launches Fundraising Campaign to Advance Equity in Regenerative Medicine
NORTH BETHESDA, Md., April 8, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- The Orthobiologics Research Initiative (ORI), a nonprofit launched by a team of physician leaders at Regenerative Orthopedics & Sports Medicine, is proud to announce its ongoing fundraising efforts to expand access to regenerative orthopedic care.
Founded in 2021 by a team of Regenerative Orthopedics & Sports Medicine physician visionaries, ORI was created in response to a stark reality: the life-changing benefits of orthobiologics are often limited to those who can afford them. Financial barriers leave many underserved and underinsured patients without access to these innovative, non-surgical treatments.
ORI is on a mission to change that. By supporting research across a more diverse patient base and increasing public awareness, the initiative aims to shift orthopedic medicine from reactive to proactive care—treating conditions earlier, reducing the need for surgery, and improving outcomes for all communities.
With two major grants already awarded this year, ORI is working to raise $1 million over the next six months to meet critical matching requirements and support its growing operations. Every dollar raised has the potential to double in impact—accelerating research, expanding access, and reshaping the future of orthopedic care.
