Federal Express Corporation has expanded its options for shipping platforms to integrate FedEx services, providing more options for small business customers to connect with FedEx services throughout their growth journey. With more and more ecommerce businesses looking to outsource elements of their business, shipping platforms have become increasingly important in the ecommerce space. They offer a range of services across the supply chain, including logistic service automation. It is expected that the European market for supply chain software will see an annual growth rate (CAGR 2024-2029) of 3.34%, resulting in a market size of US$5.34bn by 2029.To serve this growth, FedEx developed a programme that allows shipping platforms to easily integrate FedEx services into their products and applications via APIs (Application Programming Interface). The new programme complements the well-established FedEx Compatible® Solution Program which supports larger platforms and has doubled in size over the past five years.Stijn Meeus, Managing Director Marketing, at FedEx Europe commented: “A small ecommerce business just starting out is usually able to fulfil orders on their own through FedEx Ship Manager, our standard shipping application on fedex.com. However, once order volumes begin to grow or customers start to expand to other markets, they may look to shipping platforms, and we’re delighted to be able to facilitate the smaller shipping platforms now as well.”“This new programme means that more platforms can integrate our services with less overhead. The first Integrators are already live, actively onboarding customers. For the small businesses, it means they can ship via more third-party solutions”.The programme is free for shipping platforms to join and is largely self-service. This means there is a fast-onboarding process, whilst having the reassurance of full compliance with FedEx’s trusted technology standards. To find out more about the FedEx Integrator Programme and sign up, please visit: developer.fedex.com/api/en-gb/home.html.Weiter zum vollständigen Artikel bei Post&Parcel
