New sailboat Adirondack IV and VIP sailing passes for the 2025 Season

NEW YORK, April 2, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Celebrating over 30 years of providing expert sailing and cruising experiences, Classic Harbor Line is thrilled to announce a 25% increase in sailing capacity across all four locations including New York City, Boston, Newport and Key West. Classic Harbor Line collectively carries over 250,000 guests annually aboard their fleet of 14 classically inspired schooners and motor yachts built by Scarano Boat Building, which is based in Albany, NY.

The Classic Harbor Line 2025 sailing season officially begins on April 18 in the New York City location, featuring a newly built, all wood, 88-foot ADIRONDACK IV schooner, which hosts up to 74 guests on board with exceptional, elegant comfort. The Classic Harbor Line New York location celebrates its 27th season and will offer public and charter sailing aboard Schooner AMERICA 2.0 and the original Schooner ADIRONDACK, cruising on Yachts MANHATTAN I and II, FULL MOON and KINGSTON. New sailing passes offer added value and perks like early boarding and complimentary bar packages for guests.

In May, ADIRONDACK IV will sail up to the Newport, RI, location nestled at Bannister's and Bowen's Wharf. Celebrating its 31st year, Newport Classic Cruises operates a fleet of renowned classic yachts: the Sloop ELEANOR, Schooner MADELEINE and Schooner ADIRONDACK IV for sailing, and Yacht RUM RUNNER for cruising, with breathtaking coastal views in the Narragansett Bay.

The Boston, MA location welcomes Schooner ADIRONDACK II, more than doubling sailing capacity combined with their current sister ship Schooner ADIRONDACK III. Starting out of Rowe's Wharf, Classic Harbor Line Boston excursions offer scenic views of Boston's historic landmarks, including the Old North Church steeple, U.S.S. Constitution, Fort Independence, and the U.S.S. Cassin Young aboard elegant schooners and motor vessels. The Classic Harbor Line Key West location operates November-March, once AMERICA 2.0 arrives from its voyage down the East Coast, offering unique experiences such as full moon and stargazing evening sails, in addition to daytime and sunset sails.

Classic Harbor Line began in 1994 with one vessel, the original ADIRONDACK, carrying up to 49 guests as it sailed in the Narragansett Bay of Newport, RI. Today, the construction of a seventh boat is underway for the New York City location at Chelsea Piers 62: the 114-foot, all wood MANHATTAN III -- a 1920s inspired classic power yacht that will deliver greater capacity for the signature Around Manhattan Architecture tours, Brunch Cruises, Eco Tours and Private Charters. Iconic landmark vistas and personalized hospitality are tenets of Classic Harbor Line.

Even amidst global economic concerns, Classic Harbor Line predicts growth in 2025. "When long-haul travel dips, domestic travel and 'stay-cationers' have sustained us in all of our locations," says Sarah Pennington, Managing Director of Classic Harbor Line. "Though at first glance we may seem like a 'touristy thing to do', our unique vessels and array of programming has always resonated well with locals as a unique and invigorating leisure activity. Classic Harbor Line excursions are a great way to escape the city, without leaving, and a great way for visitors to see the sights."
