TECfusions Clarksville facility began as the company's flagship data center where they put their adaptive reuse strategy to the test, repurposing an industrial facility and rapidly deploying data center capacity. This approach not only accelerates deployment timelines, but aligns with the company's commitment to sustainable development.

Undertaking this expansion project has involved the consolidation of six parcels into a single contiguous site, which will optimize land use to avoid setback issues and maximize buildable area. The seventh parcel will be utilized for affordable multi-tenant housing as senior staff positions are filled to support the expansion project.

"Our Clarksville expansion exemplifies TECfusions' innovative approach to data center development," said Simon Tusha, Founder and CTO of TECfusions. "By reimagining underutilized assets and collaborating closely with local authorities, we're creating a blueprint for sustainable, rapid-deployment infrastructure that meets the critical needs of our AI and HPC clients."

Melissa Farney, Director of Marketing at TECfusions, added, "This expansion represents TECfusions' unwavering commitment to our tenants' success. We understand the dynamic nature of digital growth, and our facilities are strategically designed to offer unparalleled flexibility and scalability, ensuring our tenants can seamlessly adapt and expand their operations as they need."

TECfusions has worked through city and county processes for consolidation and rezoning. Meanwhile, the company remains focused on its core values of sustainability, innovation, and community impact.

Additionally, to support the expansion, TECfusions plans to repurpose abandoned 138kV transmission lines from a decommissioned coal plant, further exemplifying its commitment to adaptive reuse and efficient resource management. This proposal is currently under discussion with Mecklenburg County and Dominion Electric, showcasing a collaborative approach which underscores TECfusions' commitment to community engagement and regional energy stability.

"TECfusions' expansion is a testament to Clarksville's growing role as a hub for technological innovation," said James D. Jennings, Chairman, Mecklenburg County Board of Supervisors. "This project not only brings substantial economic benefits but also positions our community at the forefront of the data center industry, attracting further innovation and talent to Virginia."

This expansion reinforces TECfusions' position as an industry leader in rapid deployment and sustainable data center solutions. By leveraging innovative land consolidation strategies and adaptive reuse of existing infrastructure, while ensuring uninterrupted operations, the company continues to meet the critical infrastructure needs of its clients while setting new benchmarks for fast and sustainable data center development.
