NEW YORK, April 7, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Hornblower Group, a leading global experiences and transportation company, today announced the appointment of Ali Chaudhry as Executive Vice President and Lead of Government Partnerships, effective immediately. In this newly created role, Chaudhry will oversee the company's efforts to strengthen and expand its relationships with key government stakeholders and community leaders, shape policy initiatives, and drive strategic partnerships across the public and private sectors. With extensive experience in infrastructure, government relations, and business strategy, Chaudhry will play a pivotal role in driving strategic growth for the company's Ferry and Attractions division, as well as supporting the broader objectives of the company's overall business strategy.

Ali Chaudhry will join Hornblower Group as the new Executive Vice President and Lead of Government Partnerships.

Prior to joining Hornblower Group, Chaudhry served as Senior Vice President and Chief of Development & Government Relations at AECOM, a global leader in infrastructure consulting. During his seven-year tenure at AECOM, Chaudhry was responsible for overseeing business development and strategy across the East Coast of the Americas, as well as the Caribbean and South America. He played a pivotal role in driving growth for government clients and developing strategic private-sector partnerships, with a focus on transit-oriented development, aviation, clean energy projects, and large-scale public-private partnerships. As project executive, Chaudhry guided high-profile projects such as the JFK Airport redevelopment and served as a strategic advisor on major procurement efforts for the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway repairs, the construction of the Grand Central Madison rail terminal and concourse, and the redevelopment of Penn Station.

Before his time at AECOM, Chaudhry held prominent roles in the New York State Executive Chamber, serving as the Deputy Secretary for Transportation and the Deputy Secretary for Economic Development. In these positions, he managed operations, programs, and funding for major transportation entities, including the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, and the Department of Transportation, as well as Empire State Development, the Dormitory Authority, and the Division of Housing and Community Renewal, among others. Chaudhry was the lead counsel for high-priority projects, including the redevelopment of LaGuardia Airport and the construction of the Governor Mario M. Cuomo Bridge.

"Ali's extensive experience in both the public and private sectors, coupled with his deep understanding of infrastructure and government relations, will be invaluable as we continue to grow and expand our impact," said Mike Flaskey, Hornblower Group CEO. "We are confident that Ali will play a key role in helping us strengthen our position in the market and deliver exceptional value to our stakeholders."

"I'm honored to join Hornblower Group and contribute to its incredible portfolio," said Chaudhry. "My focus will be on building meaningful, strategic relationships that foster collaboration across both the public and private sectors to drive positive change, navigate complex challenges, strengthen our community connections, and ensure that Hornblower continues to be a leading transportation and experiences company."
