Genstar Announces 2025 Team Promotions

Scott Niehaus and Sid Ramakrishnan to Managing Director and Conor Flemming and Michael Waller to Principal

SAN FRANCISCO, Feb. 25, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Genstar Capital, a leading private equity firm focused on investments in targeted segments of the financial services, industrials, software, and healthcare industries, today announced the promotions of Scott Niehaus and Sid Ramakrishnan to Managing Director, and Conor Flemming and Michael Waller to Principal.

Mr. Niehaus joined Genstar in 2017 as a Vice President after receiving his M.B.A from Harvard Business School. He had previously worked at Summit Partners where he was an Associate and began his career as an investment banking analyst at Deutsche Bank. Mr. Niehaus currently serves on the Board of Directors of Genstar portfolio companies Flourish Research, Lightspeed Systems, Numerix, OEConnection, and Signant Health. Mr. Niehaus is a graduate of Dartmouth College.

Mr. Ramakrishnan originally joined Genstar in 2012 as an Associate and re-joined the firm in 2017 as Vice President. Prior to rejoining Genstar, he was Chief of Staff to the CEO and Head of Corporate Strategy at AssetMark, a former Genstar portfolio company. He began his career as an investment banker at Morgan Stanley and is a graduate of the University of Southern California. Mr. Ramakrishnan currently serves on the Board of Directors of Genstar portfolio companies ACA Group, AmeriLife, Apex Group, Cetera Financial Group, Docupace, Orion Advisor Solutions, and Prometheus.

Mr. Flemming originally joined Genstar in 2017 as an Associate and re-joined the firm in 2022 as Vice President. Prior to rejoining Genstar, he was Chief of Staff at Institutional Shareholder Services, a former Genstar portfolio company. Mr. Flemming began his career as an investment banking analyst at Evercore. Mr. Flemming is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Genstar portfolio companies Docupace, Likewize, Marcone, and Numerix. He is a graduate of The Johns Hopkins University.

Mr. Waller joined Genstar in 2017 as an Associate and re-joined the firm in 2022 as Vice President. Prior to rejoining Genstar, he was Chief of Staff at Enverus, a Genstar portfolio company. Mr. Waller began his career as an investment banking analyst at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Mr. Waller is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Genstar portfolio companies Affinipay, Lightspeed, Obsidian, and MASA. He is a graduate of Columbia University.
