LOS ANGELES, March 28, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- The ball from the final pitch of the 2024 World Series, securing the Los Angeles Dodgers' eighth MLB championship, will be auctioned to benefit those affected by the Los Angeles fires.
THE FINAL PITCH OF THE 2024 DODGERS WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP REACHES THE COLLECTIBLE MARKET FOR A GREAT CAUSEWill and Cara Smith, through their Catching Hope Foundation, will auction the historic ball that pitcher Walker Buehler fired to the Dodger catcher for strike three, sealing the Dodgers' World Series triumph over the New York Yankees with a 7-6 Game 5 win.
This auction is a partnership between the Catching Hope Foundation, the Buehler Family Foundation and the Los Angeles Dodgers organization, uniting to support fire relief efforts.
The online auction will be hosted on the Memorabilia Network with registration currently open and concluding on Saturday, April 5 at 6 p.m. PST.
Fans can see the ball displayed at Dodger Stadium at The Art of the Game display on the field level behind home plate. The ball will be on display for Friday and Saturday night games with the Detroit Tigers and for all three games with the Atlanta Braves (March 31, April 1-2).
