SAN JOSE, Calif., March 18, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Santa Clara Family Health Plan (SCFHP) is pleased to announce the appointment of Manish Nautiyal as its new Chief Information Officer (CIO), effective February 24, 2025.

Manish Nautiyal, Chief Information Officer at Santa Clara Family Health Plan

With more than 22 years of experience, Nautiyal will provide vision and leadership to the Information Technology (IT) department and infrastructure, including applications, telecommunications, business and software development, security, and electronic data interchange. As a member of SCFHP's Executive Team, he will engage with management to support SCFHP's vision of health for all.

"I am thrilled to join the SCFHP team and am eager to contribute to its mission by serving both the members and the community," said Nautiyal.

Prior to joining SCFHP, Nautiyal served as senior vice president of IT development and infrastructure at Huntington Beach, California-based Beacon Healthcare Systems, leading strategic technology initiatives for health plans and fostering team excellence. He also held various IT leadership positions during his 10 years at Long Beach, California-based Molina Healthcare.

A graduate of Agra University with a bachelor's degree in engineering, with a focus on computer science, Nautiyal has an extensive healthcare technology background, which includes implementing AI solutions, managing HITRUST certification, and deep expertise with QNXT systems. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a strong track record of driving operational excellence while building collaborative, high-performing teams.

Nautiyal is assuming this role upon the retirement of current CIO, Jonathan Tamayo, who has served in the position since 2015. Under Tamayo's leadership, the IT department supported SCFHP's rapid transition to remote work and helped establish many of the operational systems that now form the backbone of its day-to-day technology infrastructure.

"Since announcing our executive search for a new CIO in November, we have been focused on finding a leader who could build upon Jonathan's strong foundation to drive our technology strategy forward," said Christine M. Tomcala, Chief Executive Officer of SCFHP. "I am confident that Manish's leadership will build upon this foundation to better serve our members and community."

"In addition to welcoming Manish, I want to acknowledge Jonathan's valuable contributions to our IT Department," Tomcala added. "Since joining us a decade ago, Jonathan has guided our technology operations through several significant periods, including the unprecedented challenges of the pandemic. I thank him for his service to our community. Retirement is a momentous achievement, and it signifies a job well-done over a decades-long career."
