Chitko comes from a family of entrepreneurs, starting with his grandfather, a respected custom home builder near Dayton, OH. Prior to founding a small, successful window and door supply and installation company in northeast Wisconsin and the upper peninsula of Michigan called Kindle Windows and Doors, his father spent over 20 years as a Pella trade sales representative.

It was at Kindle Windows and Doors that Chitko began a working relationship with Mark Fabisch, who at the time owned Wisconsin Screen Solutions.

"Mark has done a couple of screen projects for me, and working in the window and door industry, I have lots of openings that need screens," says Chitko. "So, the synergy between two businesses was very exciting."

However, Chitko originally became acquainted with Phantom Screens through his father.
