Live Demonstration at NDA New Orleans March 6

NEW ORLEANS, March 3, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Petram Technologies has been named Rock-Breaking Technology of the Year by Energy Tech Review based on its rare combination of power, precision, performance and sustainability. Petram will exhibit and present March 6-8 at the NDA Conference in New Orleans with three special live demonstrations on March 6. Petram will also be exhibited at the NRECA Conference in AtlantaMarch 10-12. Originally funded by NASA at Auburn University to demonstrate the most energy efficient way to break rock on the Moon, Petram has developed the technology to commercialize multiple terrestrial applications.

With 10 patents, Petram innovates not for the sake of innovation but real-world impact in cost, safety, and environment.

Petram's products break rock using just electrical pulses and a few ounces of water—without chemicals. By collaborating with multiple Fortune 500 industry leaders, Petram has developed its technology for use in concrete demolition, concrete rebar recycling, bedrock excavation, and increasing geothermal, water, and oil & gas resources. Its High-Power Electrical Pulse (HPEP) Fracture System named Mjölnir (Thor's Hammer) reduces noise, dust, and vibration by over 99% and delivers 20 times the efficiency while costing less than 50% of traditional rock-breaking methods.

Energy Tech Review noted that Petram's innovation with ten patents issued is not just for the sake of innovation but real-world impact.  Franco Magnotti, CEO of Petram, stated "We deliver the equivalent 1.21 Gigawatts of "lightning" power like Doc Brown in Back to the Future but only use the equivalent caloric energy of one Hershey's kiss to generate that power. While that is technically amazing, five real world impacts are: 1) a drastic reduction in CO2, 2) the ability to work at night due to its reduced noise, 3) completing excavation projects quicker and within budget, 4) increased safety and health of workers due to its reduced dust, and 5) the ability to work within feet of existing critical infrastructure like gas pipelines".
