Panhandle Power Solutions Awarded NASA Contract for Electrical Infrastructure Upgrade at Kennedy Space Center

DESTIN, Fla., March 20, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Panhandle Power Solutions (PPS), a Member Company of Bristol Bay Industrial, LLC has been awarded a design-build contract by NASA to replace the B-Line overhead 15kV electrical distribution lines at the Kennedy Space Center, Florida. This project, spanning approximately four miles, underscores PPS's commitment to enhancing mission-critical energy systems for its federal partners.  
  
In addition to replacing the electrical lines, the project will require civil site work, including trenching, boring, and the installation of concrete pads. Throughout the project, PPS will coordinate closely with NASA's Environmental Assurance Branch to conduct necessary biological surveys, ensuring minimal disruption to essential systems such as water, fire detection and protection, and air handling. Careful planning of power outages is crucial to mitigate any potential impacts on NASA's ongoing operations.
