A Growing Legacy
Houston'sfour-year championship streak highlights the team's sustained excellence and the strength of the region's equestrian community. In true Houston spirit, the team was sent off to the championship with a lively asado fundraiser hosted by Troy Lequerica (the team captain's uncle) and Tate Seward — a gathering that not only raised funds for travel expenses but also celebrated the team's achievements and the city's thriving polo culture.
"The Houston polo community has been an incredible support system for our players," said Prinsloo. "The asado was a perfect way to send the team off — surrounded by friends, family, and the people who've helped shape this program's success."
Team Captain Lequerica reflected on the team's achievement, saying, "Winning four straight titles is an incredible achievement. This team is like family, and I'm proud of everything we've built together. The effort, the camaraderie, and the support from our community have been key to our success."
With Joe BobLequerica, Judah Altic, and Asa Gangjee set to return next season, Coaches Prinsloo, Rice, and the team are determined to continue Houston's winning tradition and pursue a historic fifth consecutive title.
