HERTZ TEAMSTERS EXTEND UNFAIR LABOR PRACTICE STRIKE TO MIAMI
Workers Take Fight to Two Major Florida Airports to Demand Fair Contract
MIAMI, Feb. 11, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Workers represented by Teamsters Local 769 at Hertz's West Palm Beach International Airport have extended their unfair labor practice strike to Hertz at Miami International Airport where Teamsters represent more than 100 Hertz workers who can honor the picket line.
Hertz Teamsters at West Palm Beach have been on strike since February 1, after the company failed to offer a contract that included fair wages and fair production standards. Hertz Teamsters at West Palm Beach work as vehicle service agents and mechanics who ensure rental cars are clean and safe to drive, but Hertz has chosen to put workers and customers at risk by unilaterally imposing dangerous quotas.
Teamsters will be on the picket line in West Palm Beach and Miami until an agreement is reached.
