According to Move for Hunger, over 47 million Americans face hunger daily, including one in five children. As Florida's largest independent mover, Good Greek has become an essential advocate in Move for Hunger's cause by collecting and delivering food donations from customers on moving day. The relocation giant has also recovered food donations through its natural disaster relief efforts and network of corporate partners.

"Contributing to the greater community has always been a key pillar of what we do here," said founder and CEO of Good Greek Moving & Storage, Spero Georgedakis. "Partnering with Move for Hunger allows us to support families in need, turning every move into an opportunity to make a difference."

"It's incredible to have dedicated partners like Good Greek Moving and Storage fighting hunger throughout Florida," said Adam Lowy, founder of Move for Hunger. In just two short years, their team has moved enough food to feed close to 90,000 residents in need - we're thrilled to continue the impact this year."

Georgedakis is a proud board member of the Palm Beach Homeless Coalition; he advises his customers to reduce food waste upon the arrival of their move-out date by taking inventory about a month before the scheduled move and using up any remaining perishables. On the day of the move, Georgedakis also recommends giving non-perishable food items to movers like Good Greek who will donate the items to the local food banks and homeless shelters.
