This research1, funded by Almond Board of California and conducted for 4 weeks among 64 healthy, non-smoking U.S. male and female adults ages 30-65 who are occasional exercisers, found that study participants who ate 57g of almonds reported experiencing reduced fatigue and tension during muscle recovery, increased leg and lower back strength and decreased muscle damage during the first day of recovery post-exercise.
