The updated and refined FinOps offering is designed to meet the needs of managed service providers (MSPs) and multidivisional enterprises. Umbrella: New Business Unit Delivers New FinOps Features
With the unveiling of the Umbrella business unit, Anodot announced three new features for its cloud cost optimization platform:

  • Bring Your Own Data (beta). Users can now import their SaaS, platform, licensing and other costs and usage data and more to get a complete view of their cloud expenses so that they can optimize their spending. Learn more about Bring Your Own Data.
  • GreenOps Dashboard. Users can now gain visibility into their AWS cloud usage carbon emissions and power consumption directly from the Cost & Usage page.   • Savings Plan Simulator. The new Savings Plan Simulator replaces the SP Analyzer. Simulation data is based on all AWS compute services: EC2, Lambda and Fargate. The simulator provides an evaluation of all six purchasing options per coverage selection, visualizations to explore simulation results for cost and coverage, and an option to exclude Savings Plans expiring soon for a more precise forecast.     Escalating Cloud Spend Drives Booming FinOps Market
    The growth in cloud spending continues to escalate – Gartner Research expects end-user cloud spending to increase 21.5% globally to $723 billion in 2025, forcing organizations to face a critical imperative to manage and optimize their cloud expenditures. So dire is the need that Gartner1 predicts that a lack of sound cloud financial management (CFM) practices will be the primary reason for over 90% of enterprises that halt or slow cloud migrations by 2027. For enterprises today, the challenge is no longer just about migrating to the cloud – it's about optimizing everything in it. This challenge has led to a boom in FinOps and CFM solutions.
