ALCHEMY VENTURES ACQUIRES 151 AVENUE A IN EAST VILLAGE FOR $10.75 MILLION
Alchemy Ventures Expands its New York City Portfolio, Securing a Prime Mixed-Use Property in One of Manhattan's Most Dynamic Neighborhoods
NEW YORK, March 17, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Alchemy Ventures, an affiliate of Alchemy Properties Inc., has officially acquired 151 Avenue A, a 9,634-square-foot mixed-use property situated in the heart of New York City's East Village. The five-story building, which features eight three-bedroom, two-bathroom apartments, and two ground-level retail spaces, closed this month for $10,750,000.
Located directly across from Tompkins Square Park, the property is positioned between East 9th and East 10th Streets in one of Manhattan's most vibrant neighborhoods. Notably, the ground and basement floors are home to the popular new Danny & Coop's, a cheesesteak shop owned by Danny DiGiampietro of Angelo's pizzeria and sandwich shop in Philadelphia, and actor and filmmaker Bradley Cooper, which has already drawn enthusiastic crowds and rave reviews.
The transaction was brokered by Joe Koicim & Matt Berger of Marcus & Millichap.
"This acquisition represents an exciting step in Alchemy Ventures' continued growth in New York City," said Sam Kooris, Co-Founder & Principal at Alchemy Ventures. "151 Avenue A is a perfect example of the type of high-quality, well-located asset that aligns with our strategic vision. We look forward to adding value to this property and continuing to expand our portfolio."
As an affiliate of Alchemy Properties Inc., Alchemy Ventures operates as an independently managed real estate owner and operator, actively engaged in acquisitions, financing, leasing, construction, property management, development, and asset management. The firm also recently acquired 310 West 80th Street, a multifamily property on the Upper West Side for $11.25 million, and 251 Church Street, a 14,425-square-foot mixed-use property in the heart of Tribeca, for $12.55 million. 251 Church Street is home to two popular Tribeca eateries: Two Hands, an all-day Australian cafe, restaurant, and bar, and Shion 69 Leonard Street, a Michelin-starred omakase-style dining experience.
Since its inception, the firm has closed on over 50 properties. Earlier this year, Alchemy Ventures completed the exit of a portfolio valued at more than $200 million, further solidifying its presence and ability to execute in the competitive real estate market.
