STEM Greater Houston Hosts Free STEM Fest For Students K-12
HOUSTON, Feb. 20, 2025 /PRNewswire/ --
WHAT:
Created by STEM Global Action (SGA), STEM Fests provide K -12 students with opportunities to design, build, and test more than 60 STEM activities. Students to innovate and create as they work with STEM professionals. The STEM Fest marks a significant milestone in the partnership between the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and STEM Global Action (SGA). This collaboration expands access to STEM education in urban areas and helps foster a pipeline of diverse future innovators, creators, and problem-solvers. Together, STEM Greater Houston, an affiliate of SGA, and ASME provide students—especially those from underrepresented communities—with the inspiration, resources, and hands-on experiences needed to pursue STEM careers. Since its founding in 2013, STEM Global Action and STEM NOLA have impacted nearly 160,000 students, 22,000 families, and 5,100 schools. This free event is open to all K-12 students.
