Launched on February 8, 2007, the First Trust NASDAQ-100 Ex-Technology Sector ETF (QQXT) is a passively managed exchange traded fund designed to provide a broad exposure to the Large Cap Growth segment of the US equity market.The fund is sponsored by First Trust Advisors. It has amassed assets over $203.57 million, making it one of the average sized ETFs attempting to match the Large Cap Growth segment of the US equity market.Why Large Cap GrowthLarge cap companies typically have a market capitalization above $10 billion. The NASDAQ-100 Index includes 100 of the largest domestic and international non-financial companies listed on NASDAQ based on market capitalization.The ETF return is roughly 2.6% so far this year and it's up approximately 4.11% in the last one year (as of 02/23/2026). In the past 52-week period, it has traded between $84.34 and $101.96.The ETF has a beta of 0.90 and standard deviation of 13.55% for the trailing three-year period, making it a medium risk choice in the space.
