S. Korea, BlackRock forge partnership to build AI, renewable energy hub in Korea

NEW YORK CITY — South Korea and BlackRock, the world's largest asset manager, have formed a strategic partnership to position Korea as "Asia-Pacific AI Capital" through large-scale joint investments in data centers, and renewable energy. The agreement was made, as President Lee Jae Myung, currently in the United States for the UN General Assembly, began his first official schedule in New York City on Monday by meeting with Larry Fink, interim co-chair of the World Economic Forum and CEO of BlackRock, a few hours after his arrival in the city.
