Her practice encompasses drafting and prosecuting U.S. and international patents, managing patent portfolios, performing due diligence analyses, and preparing patentability, infringement, and freedom-to-operate analyses.

Di Nola-Baron leverages her experience as a patent practitioner and as a former patent examiner at the United States Patent and Trademark Office as well as her background in molecular biology, immunology, and plant biochemistry to advise clients on intellectual property issues and coordinate national and international patent prosecution strategies. Di Nola-Baron has worked extensively with start-ups and established companies across the life sciences sector and in the food and beverage, agriculture, clean tech and renewable, artificial intelligence, and other industries.

Di Nola-Baron has extensive experience prosecuting patents in a broad spectrum of areas related to life sciences, including small and large molecule pharmaceuticals, monoclonal antibodies, vaccines, immunology, gene therapy, molecular biology, biochemistry, stem cells, medical treatments, medical devices, and diagnostic methods and equipment. She also has extensive experience in the fields of food and drink science, transgenic plants, crop improvements, biofuels, cannabinoids, chemical processes, microbe purification systems, cosmetics, coatings, and biologics integrated with artificial intelligence and software.
Prior to joining Panitch Schwarze, Di Nola-Baron worked as an in-house attorney. She also has built her own practice as a solo practitioner and served as an attorney in global law firms. After earning her Ph.D., she worked as a scientist for the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the Food and Drug Administration, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Di Nola-Baron earned her J.D. from George Washington University School of Law. She received a Ph.D. in biochemistry from Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where she also earned a master's degree in botany and a bachelor's degree in agriculture.
