Werbung Werbung “The Italian solar market currently presents a unique opportunity for manufacturers that still have European-made products available, “ says Sven Stoffers, Head of Sales at Meyer Burger. “Targeted incentive programs are driving demand for EU-produced modules, creating fairer competition and giving the domestic solar industry a much-needed boost.” “OGT Solar is always looking for world class PV modules based on innovative technologies, and Meyer Burger is a leading technology company for heterojunction with a deep technological background,” says Pierluigi Terzuolo, GM at OGT. “We selected heterojunction modules made by Meyer Burger since they provide high quality and complete customer satisfaction, fully guaranteed as 100 percent manufactured in the EU.” Werbung Werbung OGT has been an equipment manufacturer for glass production since 1946. The global enterprise is primarily engaged in the conception, research, design, development, production and integration of advanced technology machines and services. The business division OGT Solar is a distributor of solar products such as solar modules, inverters and storage systems. The company sells products throughout Italy and world-wide. Meyer Burger’s high-performance modules are the only ones on the market to qualify for Category C – the highest incentive level – under a new regulation that provides strong incentives for solar projects using modules manufactured in Europe. This regulation is part of the “Transizione 5.0” program, through which the Italian government supports companies in their digital and energy transformation efforts. To qualify for the highest incentive category C, solar modules have to meet the following criteria: They must be manufactured in European Union member states, use bifacial solar cells that are also produced in the EU, and achieve a cell efficiency of at least 24 percent.
