MADISON, Wis., March 26, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Inner Haven Wellness is expanding its in-network insurance partnerships to further its mission of making high-quality, evidence-based eating disorder treatment more accessible across Wisconsin. By collaborating with additional insurance providers, Inner Haven is breaking down financial barriers to care.

The program is now in-network with MultiPlan (now Claritev), Advocate Aurora Health, Security Health, and Mercy Care, and has expanded coverage with Optum/United Healthcare. Inner Haven's partnership with United Healthcare now includes both adolescent and adult treatment, available in-person and virtually, ensuring flexible, tailored care to meet individual needs.

"Expanding our insurance partnerships is a pivotal step toward addressing the significant gap in treatment accessibility for eating disorders," said Margherita Mascolo, MD, CEDS-S, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Medical Officer of Inner Haven Wellness. "By reducing financial obstacles, we empower individuals to seek the help they need."

"Access to care makes all the difference in recovery," added Lee Neagle, MA, LPC, Co-Founder and Therapist at Inner Haven Wellness. "No one should have to forgo treatment because of financial constraints. Expanding our in-network options means that more people can receive the life-saving support they deserve."

This initiative comes at a crucial time, as recent data shows that the proportion of insurance claims related to eating disorder treatment increased by 65% compared to all medical claims between 2018 and 2022.

Additionally, only a fraction of the 30 million Americans with eating disorders receive treatment, often due to exorbitant costs and inadequate insurance coverage.

Inner Haven remains committed to removing financial barriers, already accepting most major insurance providers, including Carelon, Cigna (Evernorth), Common Ground, Dean Health Plan/Prevea 360, GHC, Network Health, Trilogy, United Healthcare (Optum), WPS, The Alliance, and Quartz.
