Evergreen Cooperative Laundry Celebrates the Completion of Expansion Project and Job Creation in Cleveland's Glenville Neighborhood

CLEVELAND, March 26, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Evergreen Cooperative Laundry (ECL) is excited to announce the completion of its expansion in Cleveland's Glenville neighborhood with a ribbon-cutting ceremony marking the official opening of the new facility. The expansion includes the addition of a 5,000 square foot building and the acquisition of eight adjacent vacant lots, enhancing ECL's capacity and bolstering its commitment to the local community.

Since its establishment in October 2009, ECL, a worker-owned cooperative, has been dedicated to providing high-quality laundry services while promoting sustainability and job creation. Known as the first commercial-scale LEED Gold certified laundry in Northeast Ohio, ECL continues to prioritize environmental responsibility and positive community impact.

With support from the City of Cleveland's Land Bank, the expansion project has enabled ECL to better serve its clients, including healthcare providers requiring linen supply services, while also creating 10-15 new jobs. These positions offer competitive starting wages, comprehensive benefits, and profit-sharing - providing opportunities for economic growth within the Glenville neighborhood.
