Der Umsatz stieg im ersten Quartal währungsbereinigt um 7,3 Prozent auf 6,85 Milliarden Euro. Analysten hatten im Konsens von Visible Alpha mit 6,92 Milliarden Euro gerechnet. Im vierten Quartal hatte der Konzern noch ein Wachstum von 9,2 Prozent verzeichnet.
Die EssilorLuxottica-Aktie verliert an der EURONEXT in Paris zeitweise 2,22 Prozent auf 251,60 Euro.
