Youth To The People, a member of 1% for the Planet, is collaborating with Brave Trails and the American Civil Liberties Union to launch their Community To The People program
LOS ANGELES, Sept. 23, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Modern skincare brand, Youth To The People, joined 1% for the Planet and its global network of companies committed to giving back to their communities. Youth To The People is now launching its new social impact initiative, Community To The People, which will provide resources to help reduce the effects of social isolation.
Social isolation affects everyone. According to the World Health Organization, approximately 1 in 4 people experience social isolation, and these effects are comparable to the risks of extreme smoking and morbid obesity. Through the Community To The People initiative, Youth To The People will provide financial aid for underserved groups to access resources to participate in programs beneficial to developing healthy social connections. As a part of this new initiative, Youth To The People will be making a $100,000 donation each to both the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and Brave Trails.
The American Heart Association recognizes that underserved communities and LGBTQ+ youth face higher risks of social isolation through forms of discrimination, rejection, and lack of resources. Brave Trails and the ACLU provide year-round programming designed to develop community and foster lifelong connections that help reduce the health effects of social isolation.
The ACLU's National Advocacy Institute is an immersive program that promotes the next generation of young leaders through skills building and advocacy engagement. Over 1000 students engage in interactive programming and training throughout the year to help deepen their connection to community service. Brave Trails, a California-based national nonprofit organization focused on LGBTQ+ youth leadership, creates safe spaces for LGBTQ+ youth through their camp programs. The camps allow for connection with like-minded peers through various activities, workshops, and service-related projects.
