MINNEAPOLIS, April 23, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- UCP Merchant Medicine has appointed three new executives to strengthen its leadership team and accelerate the development and deployment of Intellivisit, its Artificial Intelligence (AI) based clinical decision and efficiency support tool designed for urgent care centers.

Ethan Otterlei, Sr. VP of Technology Operations

Ethan Otterlei, Senior Vice President of Technology Operations, has extensive expertise in healthcare technology delivery, including several past roles with Zipnosis. Ethan will oversee technology and software development activities within the company, with a focus on designing, selling, and deploying the innovative Intellivisit technology.

Ralph Nilssen, Senior Vice President of Sales, boasts a deep background in sales strategy, business development, and revenue growth, and will lead sales functions for Intellivisit.

Josh Russell, MD, Vice President of Clinical Research and Reporting, is an experienced urgent care physician, educator, and leader who served as the long-time editor of the Journal of Urgent Care Medicine. Dr. Russell will lead Intellivisit's clinical research initiatives and drive the development of our AI solutions.

"This is an exciting time for Intellivisit and a decisive moment for many urgent care operators nationwide," said Brandon Robertson, CEO of UCP Merchant Medicine and Intellivisit Solutions. "Josh, Ethan, and Ralph each bring unique and complementary expertise that will allow us to empower the urgent care centers we serve as they navigate an increasingly complex and competitive landscape."

The leadership expansion addresses growing demands in the urgent care marketplace as organizations rush to find sophisticated, yet easy to implement tools to streamline workflows, enhance clinical decision-making, and meet evolving patient expectations, all while improving the value of care they provide. Intellivisit's AI-enhanced platform enables clinicians to practice more quickly and safely and ensures the delivery of the most cost-efficient, evidence-based care.

With the new additions, the UCP Merchant Medicine leadership team is confident that Intellivisit will continue to demonstrate increasing value for health system clients, clinicians, and patients alike. "Intellivisit finally offers an opportunity for the promise we were given decades ago with the introduction of electronic health records to be realized: safe, reliable, and rapid healthcare can all be achieved, and at an affordable price," Robertson added. "With the all-star team we've assembled and the power of AI, the sky's the limit for how Intellivisit can transform urgent care and beyond."
