LOS ANGELES, March 26, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- D.Law is gratified to announce the inauguration of what they believe will be a game changer in the evolution of employment law firms—an in-house center for professional development, D.Law's NextGen Academy.

D.Law NextGen Academy Summer Associate Program

Created to find, train, and mentor the next generation of stellar employment law attorneys, D.Law's NextGen Academy is designed to impart a range of skills and insights future lawyers will need to establish a foundation for, and advance, their careers in plaintiff-side employment litigation.

The first area to be incorporated into NextGen Academy is D.Law's new Summer Associate Program. Founded and directed by highly regarded plaintiff-side employment litigator Brandon Ruiz, the program is already gaining national attention, with the initial class of nine recruits—representing some of the best law schools from across the country—already selected for the summer of 2025.

"Our Summer Associate Program serves as the ideal foundation for the ongoing development of D.Law's NextGen Academy," said Ruiz. "With its focus on training and nurturing the professional growth of the next generation of legal talent, the Summer Associate Program embodies the spirit of preparation and inspiration the Academy represents."

NextGen Academy will draw upon the experience and expertise of D.Law's top leaders and employment law litigators to help prepare and guide its most promising legal talent. "We're always looking ahead, shaping the future of our industry by continually changing and advancing what it means to be an employment law firm," said Founder and Managing Attorney Emil Davtyan. "We have some of the greatest legal talent in our field here at D.Law. By creating ways for them to give back by sharing their knowledge and wisdom, we're helping ensure the next generation of lawyers will be ready to boldly carry the torch of defending workers' rights and holding power to account."

Ruiz considers both NextGen Academy and the Summer Associate Program to be groundbreaking initiatives. "In my estimation, the concept and execution of our NextGen Academy is, like our Summer Associate Program, unique to the culture of employment law firms," Ruiz notes. "I have never seen this level of investment in up-and-coming talent to make sure they are prepared to succeed, while at the same time instilling the passion for justice we feel will help take our entire field of practice to the next level."

Information on D.Law's Summer Associate Program can be found on the new NextGen Academy area of the firm's website at www.d.law/nextgenacademy. While the 2025 class has been filled, those interested in the program can access the waitlist for the class of 2026.
