Vietnam Stands Strong as a Top 6 Sender of Students to the U.S. with Over 24,000 Enrolled in 2024

AKRON, Ohio, April 29, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Vietnam continues to shine as a leading source of international students in the United States. In the 2023–2024 academic year, over 24,000 Vietnamese students pursued U.S. higher education, contributing to a record-breaking 1.1 million international student population—a 7% increase from the previous year.

Vietnam ranks among the top six countries sending students to the United States. Vietnamese students are drawn by opportunities for academic advancement, international experience, and career growth. When choosing universities, they consider factors such as academic programs, scholarships, internship opportunities, and long-term career prospects.
