Increased listing data access further unites the MLSs across state lines

CHINO HILLS, Calif., Feb. 4, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- California Regional MLS (CRMLS), the most recognized MLS in the country, has entered into new reciprocal data access agreements with two nearby MLSs: Washington and Oregon's Northwest MLS (NWMLS) and Western Arizona REALTOR® Data Exchange, Inc. (WARDEX), which covers areas around the California/Arizona/Nevada borders.

Reciprocal data access grants users of each MLS the ability to view listings in other MLSs, thereby exposing listings to a greater out-of-state network and helping agents and brokers serve clients looking to move to further away areas. As more Americans have greater flexibility in where they live, it's important for local Associations to have as much access to as broad a pool of listings as possible.

"Providing all the property-centric data we can is key to CRMLS's support of our userbase," said CRMLS CEO Art Carter. "CRMLS is always looking to innovate and help our users be evermore valuable to their clients. More data from more markets will only help consumers looking to move up north or out east, or those who wish to join us over here in California."

"Offering reciprocal access with CRMLS is an exciting advancement that further empowers our member brokers in the Pacific Northwest," said Justin Haag, President and CEO of NWMLS. "This initiative provides access to listings, market data, and professional networks, creating new opportunities for collaboration and growth. At NWMLS, we remain dedicated to delivering exceptional products and services that drive business success, and the addition of reciprocal data access with CRMLS reflects that commitment."

"It simply makes sense to work in partnership with CRMLS," said WARDEX CEO Kim Everett. "We share the border along the Colorado River, a highly desirable location for both living and owning vacation homes on either side. In 2024 alone, over 32,000 Californians moved to Arizona, while 16,000 relocated from Arizona to California. By creating a collaborative environment for agents in each state, we can significantly enhance the buyer and seller experience."

CRMLS Matrix users can find their reciprocal access options from their MLS homepage.
