Personalized Care for Every Patient
As MDVIP affiliates, Drs. Soriano-Pisaturo and Mortel maintain smaller practices, enabling them to dedicate more time to each patient, emphasize disease prevention and early detection, and better manage chronic conditions. The doctors offer valuable conveniences including same- or next-day appointments lasting an average of 30 minutes and 24/7 physician availability.
"My greatest fulfillment as a primary care doctor comes from connecting with my patients, getting to know them and their personal goals and listening to what is most important to them," said Dr. Maria A. Soriano-Pisaturo, who has been practicing in Rhode Island since 2009. "By affiliating with MDVIP, I can provide the level of individualized care that I strongly believe in. My hope is that I help empower my patients and their families to live as well as they can for as long as they can."
"I believe that a positive doctor-patient partnership built on mutual trust, honest communication and a shared approach to decision-making is vital to improving healthcare," said Dr. Kristine Mortel. "The MDVIP Wellness Program combined with my years of training and practice as a geriatrician enables me to work closely with patients to help prevent age-related disease and also address acute and chronic conditions that may have already set in."
Comprehensive Wellness Program
For an annual membership fee, patients receive the MDVIP Wellness Program, a comprehensive yearly health assessment with advanced diagnostic tests and screenings that give a more complete view of the patient's overall health. The doctors use these results to provide one-on-one coaching and tools that help patients make healthier lifestyle choices and achieve their specific goals.
Proven Health Outcomes
Eleven peer-reviewed, published studies demonstrate that patients in MDVIP-affiliated practices achieve better health outcomes compared to those in traditional primary care settings, including:
- 79% fewer hospitalizations for Medicare patients, equating to $600 million in savings annually
- 72% fewer hospitalizations for commercially insured patients
- 40% more patients identified at risk for cardiovascular disease through advanced testing
MDVIP maintains unrivaled patient satisfaction scores and annual membership renewals consistently exceeding 90%.
