New Arm-Based Lookaside Acceleration Solution Optimizes Open RAN Deployments for Lower Power and Greater Flexibility
BARCELONA, Spain, Feb. 27, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- MWC Barcelona 2025 – SynaXG, a leading provider of RAN solutions announced a strategic collaboration with Kalray, a leader in high-performance computing and acceleration solutions, to launch a new Arm-based Lookaside Acceleration solution for Open RAN deployments. This partnership expands SynaXG's existing inline acceleration solutions, enabling operators to optimize network performance with greater flexibility, energy efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
This new solution integrates Kalray's high-performance K300 PCIe lookaside acceleration card based on Kalray's Coolidge v2 MPPA® processor, with SynaXG's carrier-grade O-RAN software, delivering a powerful combination of energy efficiency, scalability, and real-time optimization. By combining Arm-based processing and Kalray 5G accelerator card, the solution significantly reduces energy consumption, enabling cost-effective and sustainable Open RAN deployments.
