Four-time Olympian high jumper and breast cancer survivor, Chaunté Lowe, the keynote speaker for an FCS-exclusive session, will share her unique perspective on how oncologists and care teams can ensure patients feel heard, understood and actively involved in their care. Lowe will highlight the profound impact the compassionate, patient-centered care she received from FCS in 2019 contributed to her transformative journey of healing.
During a fireside chat moderated by FCS Assistant Managing Physician David Wenk, MD and FCS Chief Executive Officer Nathan H. Walcker, Lowe will reflect on the lessons providers and care teams can take from her training as a high-performance athlete to foster resilience and create a seamless experience for patients.
Lowe continues to inspire and empower cancer patients and their care providers in worldwide appearances. In November 2024, she joined FCS clinicians and leaders for a Biden Cancer Moonshot event at the White House to discuss the vital and positive impact of navigation services for cancer patients.
